This cat is fantastic especially the expression. I see the guard in his face. Also a mistrust of his surroundings. Your background moves with a certain tension. Wonderful contrast in this piece and interesting designs in the cat's place to sit. I swear I see a snake wrapping itself around just beneath the cat.
